    Green Skills powered by Tech Lancaster is currently taking enrolments for our ongoing Green Skills pre-bootcamp. This pre-bootcamp taster course is approximately 20 hours (Level 2) to allow you to explore potential career routes in the Green tech skills area at your own pace.     You will need to be 16 or over on the 1st of January 2025 to undertake this course.


    This helps us understand why you want to participate in a training programme

    It is important that you understand the different work areas in the Green Skills industry covered by this course. Here is a summary:
    Electrical – Occupations relating to electrical install of technology that will help reduce impact on the environment including EV Chargers, Solar etc.
    Heating – Occupations relating to the installation of green heating technologies such as Air Source heat pumps.
    Sustainability / Land based occupations such as sustainability consultants, renewable energy specialists, planners.
    Environmental Auditing – Occupations that evaluates organisations environmental compliance and identify gaps and improvements to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
    E-waste repair – Occupations that encourage the repair and recycling of technology to reduce the negative impact on the environment.
    Not Sure – Looking to investigate all sectors to see if there is a good fit for me.


    In order to ensure you get the most suitable support on the programme we need to understand at what level of formal education you have gained. If you are not sure please check Gov.uk/what-different-qualification-levels-mean (will open a new window). Some example ones are listed below however please check if unsure:
    No Qualifications – no qualifications but possible other experience
    Entry Level – entry level award, Skills For Life
    Level 1 – GCSE/O-Level – grades 3,2,1 or grades D,E,F,G
    Level 2 – GCSE/O-Level – grades 9,8,7,6,5,4 or grades A*,A,B,C
    Level 3 – A-Level, level 3 NVQ, level 3 diploma, BTEC, Advanced Apprenticeship
    Level 4 or above – HNC, level 4 NVQ, Degree
